I'm back in the gym!
I'm back in the gym working out. I'm healthy and I'm looking forward to my next fight. Like I said if Floyd Mayweather gets out early, I want that fight. Every fighter from Lightweight to Welterweight are all on my radar. I'm ready to fight the best!

Robert Guerrero vs. Marcos Maidana set for August 27 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose
Robert Guerrero, the two-time featherweight titleholder and junior lightweight titlist, has defeated several notable opponents.
But his next fight, an Aug. 27 date with interim junior welterweight titlist Marcos Maidana, looks as though it will be the toughest of his career.
"I think it the biggest one so far and I think it's the most dangerous one so far, too," Guerrero told ESPN.com on Monday after finding out the fight was signed, sealed and delivered.
Guerrero signed his contract last week and was waiting on Maidana to sign, which he did over the weekend, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN.com.
The fight, which will headline a "Boxing After Dark" card on HBO, will take place at the HP Pavilion -- better known as the Shark Tank -- in San Jose, Calif., not far from Guerrero's hometown of Gilroy, Calif.
"He's a tough guy. He has punching power. He keeps coming and he gets off the canvas when he gets knocked down," said Guerrero, who will move up to junior welterweight for the bout. "When I watch Marcos Maidana fight, I look at the fight and I think the better the opposition in front him, the more he steps up his game."
"Robert is stepping up to face the hardest puncher in the division," Schaefer said. "I really think he belongs on that pound-for-pound list because of what he has accomplished. Maybe if he wins against Maidana that will get him there."
Maidana's last two fights have been all-action slugfests in Las Vegas. In December, he dropped a tight decision to titleholder Amir Khan in the 2010 Boxing Writers Association of America fight of the year. On April 9, Argentina's Maidana (30-2, 27 KOs) narrowly outpointed Mexican great Erik Morales, a former three-division champion, in a grueling brawl.
Guerrero (29-1-1, 18 KOs) fought on the Maidana-Morales HBO PPV undercard and outpointed slugger Michael Katsidis to claim a pair of vacant interim lightweight belts. After his fight, Guerrero said he watched Maidana-Morales on a monitor in his dressing room.
"It was an exciting fight to watch, especially knowing a fight with me and the winner could be made with Golden Boy, and now here it is," Guerrero said. "They both went to war. They put on a great fight and me and Katsidis also put on a great fight. And now the winners, we're clashing in August."
Maidana, who will train in Puerto Rico, confirmed that he had agreed to the fight, tweeting, "I think everybody (will) like the fight vs. Guerrero. I'll prepare myself 100 percent since it's a tough one. But I will win!"
Said Schaefer, "This confirms what we know about Maidana, that he fights anyone, anywhere, anytime. There are very few fighters like that, but he believes in his talents and his skills and in his iron chin and iron will. He feels this will be another big test and he's ready, and it doesn't matter where he's going to take it."
Schaefer has been working on the fight for weeks and was quite pleased that he had closed a difficult deal.
"Sometimes when you make a fight you know on paper going into the fight it has fight of the year written all over it and you know its going to be an action battle. This is one of those fights," Schaefer said. "It can only be a great fight. In the 140-pound division, this is as big as it gets. There many big fights there, but this is certainly one of them.
"This is one I am going to look forward to between now and Aug. 27 until the first bell rings. You'll have people split 50-50 on who is going to win the fight."
Guerrero is anxious to try his hand at a new weight.
"I'm super-excited about the move to 140. Just being at 140, I will be stronger, faster and more well rounded. I'm excited about it," Guerrero said. "Making 140 will be very easy for me. I'm just excited about this fight.
Guerrero said he was also looking forward to fighting at home, where he has good fan support.
"It will be great for the hometown fans. I've been wanting to fight a world title fight in San Jose and it's here. Aug. 27," he said. "I know all the fans are excited about it. I'll stay focused and not get caught up in the hype with all the fans. Just focus and do what I gotta do and everybody is happy."
The winner of the fight looms as a mandatory challenger for the winner of the July 23 (HBO) unification bout between Khan and Zab Judah.
The opening bout of the Maidana-Guerrero broadcast likely will involve Seth Mitchell (22-0-1, 16 KOs), the top American heavyweight prospect. However, he does not yet have an opponent. Schaefer said Chazz Witherspoon (28-2, 20 KOs), whose only defeats have come to top-10 contenders Tony Thompson and Cristobal Arreola, turned down the fight.

Five Time World Champion Robert Guerrero Recognized for his Community Efforts by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors
Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman and the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors presented Five-Time World Champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero with a Proclamation on May 24, 2011 in recognition of his commitment to giving back to the community by raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and being a positive youth role model.
Wasserman commented, "Today, we recognize boxing champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero for serving as a role model for youth and giving back to the community. Robert is an inspiration to us all and I thank him for coming to receive this Proclamation from the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors."
"First thing I want to do is thank God because all this would not be possible without him," said Guerrero. "Being a professional athlete, I believe it's my obligation to give back to the community and that's what I'm going to continue to do. I love boxing and it's my passion, but the most important thing is family and that's why I stepped away to be by my wife when she was ill. I'm going to bring as much awareness to the bone marrow registry. People say its tough being a boxer, but its nothing compared to what a cancer patient has to go through. I want to thank everyone...it truly is an honor to be getting this award."
Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer commended Guerrero stating, "Robert Guerrero exemplifies the true meaning of a professional athlete. He is an inspiration to people of all ages not only for his accomplishments in the ring, but also outside the ring with his commitment to community outreach. On behalf of Golden Boy Promotions we want to congratulate Robert and applaud him for giving back to his community and receiving this honor from Santa Clara County."

Robert Guerrero Day Celebrated in Gilroy California This Past Weekend
May 16, 2011 - A multitude of fans congregated in the city of Gilroy, California yesterday to honor their hometown hero, Five-Time World Champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, as May 15, 2011 was officially declared Robert Guerrero Day in the garlic capitol of the world and The Ghost was officially commended for his accomplishments in the ring and his roll as a community leader.
Al Pinheiro presented Robert with a proclamation stating, "I, Al Pinheiro mayor of the city of Gilroy and behalf of the entire city council, want to recognize the amazing accomplishments of Robert Guerrero, and honor him by naming May 15, 2011 in the city of Gilroy, as "Robert Guerrero Day." We certainly thank you for all the work you do for the kids in our community and hope you continue to be a roll model, and for that, we want you to have the "Key to the City" of Gilroy. This key opens the doors to the hearts of the citizens of Gilroy. We thank you for all that you've done. Congratulations!"
Trina Brajkovich, account executive of the National Marrow Donor Program avowed, "It was an honor to be a part of such an important day for Robert Guerrero. It was a true testament to Mr. Guerrero's character that on a day of his being honored that he would turn it into helping others. Through his efforts and those of the people closest to him, 53 people were added to the Marrow Registry, saving unknown lives and giving hope to numerous patients and their families."
California Assemblyman Luis Alejo greeted fans saying, "It's so good to see so many people come out to honor Gilroy's native son, somebody who exemplifies the very best, to achieve the greatest of heights. I'm very honored to present this proclamation on behalf of the State Assembly and behalf of the State Senate."
Robert Guerrero was given the "Chief's Challenge Coin" by Gilroy Police Chief Denise Turner who declared, "You have gone above and beyond the call of duty and very few people are presented with this coin. We give them to police members and community members and you definitely have made the mark. With our encouragement we want to thank you so much for being a role model for all of these kids and for what you've done for Gilory."
Ten-Time World Champion and President of Golden Boy Promotions (Guerrero’s Promoter) Oscar de la Hoya echoed the sentiments expressed by those honoring Guerrero, "There are very few athletes in the world today who have the character of Robert Guerrero. Not only is he a tremendous talent and accomplished boxer, but his dedication to his family and his community is something that should be an inspiration to all. I’m proud to that Golden Boy is his promoter and congratulate him on his well deserved honors and recognitions."
In addition Guerrero was presented a Certificate of Commendation from Supervisor Mike Wasserman, Documentation from the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association and a Certificate of Appreciation from the American Legion of Gilroy.
Robert Guerrero went on to say, "It truly is an honor. I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. I went through a lot of adversity and behind every great man is a great women, and she's right here [Guerrero’s wife Casey]. The biggest accomplishment I ever had was starting my own family and being there for them. That's why I took the time out from boxing to be by my wife. I just thank God that she's doing well and everybody out here for supporting us. Thank you."
A true champion, Robert Guerrero stayed until he had signed autographs for everyone in attendance. The money raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be tallied up and presented at a later date.
