Lazio Coach Ahead Of Serie A Showdown: ‘Inter Milan The Best Team In The League, We’ll Need To Play A Perfect Match’

Igor Tudor feels Inter Milan are the best team in Serie A, and that his Lazio team will need to play a “perfect” match against them.

Tudor spoke in a press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s Serie A match, as reported by FCInterNews.

Tomorrow evening, Inter will host Lazio at the San Siro for their penultimate match of the season.

The Biancocelesti are still fighting to determine their fate in the race for European football.

The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, do not need a result in terms of the league title race, which is long over. However, there will certainly be no lack of motivation to try and end the season on a high note for them.

Reports indicate that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be selecting a full-strength starting eleven for tomorrow’s match.

That fact alone makes clear the difficulty of the task facing Lazio.

But the Biancocelesti will themselves hardly be easy opponents for Inter. There have been quite a few positive signs for the club from the Italian capital since Tudor took over as coach.

Tudor: “Inter Best Team In Serie A, Lazio Must Be Perfect”

As far as what he wants to see from his team in tomorrow’s match, Tudor said that “We need to be a perfect version of Lazio.”

“We’re playing at the home of the best team in Italy right now,” said the Biancocelesti coach.

“They’re currently playing beautiful, concrete football.”

“They’ve been the best team this season,” said Tudor of the Nerazzurri.

“They’re doing a brilliant job in terms of their planning and growth.”

“But we’ll try to be at our best,” Tudor added.

The Lazio coach said that “There’s still two matches for us to play. And six points still up for grabs.”

“We need to start establishing our place in the table from a perspective of qualifying for Europe, and see which competition we’ll be in.

Meanwhile, Tudor also had words of praise for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi – formerly of Lazio himself.

“I’ve already given my views about Simone,” the Lazio coach said.

“They’re managing the growth of the team well. Also because of the players they’ve brought in.”

“However, a lot of credit has to go to Simone,” continued Tudor.

“Here in Italy, there’s a tendency to talk about European styles of football, modules, three- or four-man defenses. People saying that a back four is more European.”

“Simone, on the other hand, has proven that the formation has nothing to do with whether or not a team can compete at the highest level in Europe.”

“He plays with a 3-5-2,” noted Tudor. “But it’s never a fixed system.”
